Free GripAble trial offer for ACPIN members

By Editor November 29, 2020

As part of our collaborative relationship with ACPIN, we are pleased to offer all ACPIN members a free three-month trial of GripAble.

Used by neurological and orthopaedic therapists, GripAble connects to a motivating mobile app training core hand movements and tracking progress.

GripAble is an affordable, smart mobile assessment and training device that helps people with upper limb movement impairment who are undergoing hand and arm rehabilitation. The GripAble device is handheld and connects to a mobile app to play clinical-based activities and games on its therapy platform to train core hand movements in a fun and engaging way. The results are measurable and trackable both for home-based users – and as a handy assessment tool for healthcare professionals. GripAble and ACPIN are working together to highlight the digital technology opportunities in neurological physiotherapy.

As a member of ACPIN, you can secure your three month trial by simply emailing hello@gripable.co and quoting your membership number.

The GripAble team will then be in touch to discuss getting your GripAble device to you and setting up a demo.

About GripAble

GripAble is a two-in-one assessment and training device to help people with weakened hands and arms. Mobile, portable and lightweight, the handheld device connects, via WiFi or Bluetooth, to an app on a tablet, where the user can play fun and engaging activities.

GripAble tracks four key hand movements – grip / release, wrist extension / flexion, radial / ulnar deviation and pronation / supination; repetitions, and minutes of training. The device is highly sensitive and can be used by most people, even those with limited grip or movement.  Easy to set up, GripAble can be calibrated and personalised to each user’s ability.

Physical rehabilitation is critical to restoring quality of life after stroke and many other neurological, orthopaedic and paediatric conditions, and studies show that the more repetition and strength training a person performs, the greater their chance of restoring movement and, ultimately, their independence.  GripAble enables your therapist to set regular goals and provides day by day feedback to help build motivation and engagement with training activities.

GripAble is based on intuitive, fuss-free technology so you can get set up in minutes.
